The Whispering Dewdrops - X and Y Chromosome in Poetic Science and The Riddle of Science

X and Y Chromosome
Why they are important ? Without them there are no lives , no birth. They determine the sex of you and me .The female has two X chromosomes and the male has one X and one Y chromosome.A chromosome consists of a single, very long DNA helix on which thousands of genes are encoded.

So what are genes?
In simple words, Genes hold the information to build and maintain an organism's cells (The cell is the functional basic unit of life) and pass genetic traits to offspring meaning they are the unit of heredity in a living organism. Each person normally has one pair of sex chromosomes in each cell .The X chromosome represents about 5% of the total DNA in women's cells, 2.5% in men's.The other 2.5 in men is taken by the Y chromosome.

DNA in the X-chromosome is passed from mother to her son or daughter whereas the DNA in the Y-chromosome is passed from father to son .In case of a daughter , the DNA in the X -chromosome is passed from father to daughter. Since the father retains his X chromosome from his mother, a human female has one X chromosome from her paternal grandmother (father's side), and one X chromosome from her mother.

My A to Z challenge for X and Y both , is written with the above Chromosomes .I'm trying to modify the above explanation into a simple Haiku .Here I am with the Title :

X and Y Chromosome in Poetic Science:

X Chromosome :
A Daughter is born
Mother's X combines Father's
His X Chromosome

Y Chromosome :
Son's birth is confirmed
Mother's X combines Father's
One Y Chromosome

Know how to write a Haiku

The NaPoWriMo's Riddle poem :

Science Is Solving Riddles Of .....
Science is solving riddles of the Origin of life
The big bang theory denoting the formation of universe
Or the DNA cells ,a life in the invisible nucleus
The Adam and Eve ,the world's first human life
Or the Gorillas and the apes ,the hairy two legged

Science is solving riddles of Communications
Languages between the humans and his body
Languages between the plants and ecology
The Zoology of the animals ,life and their living
The fast space disc and the UFO aliens

Science is solving riddles of the Earth
The ocean's depth and the sky's expansion
The ozone depletion and the green house effect
The new diseases and the sudden natural disasters
The birth and the death ,the God and the Ghost

What the Science doesn't know is that
Science will be solving riddles of the life
Unending in nature unless the human's diverts
The search that is outside .....Within

The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011 at 11:00 United Kingdom Time ,TODAY in the Westminster Church. A poetry again for the Royal Celebration in UK with (W) taking the word WEDDING  and for NaPoWriMo's prompt "most favorite word"-Wedding .Cant help writing one more :)
A longing fairy tale comes true as festival

The Kingdom fills with Kate's love and arrival
Making a royal appearance on the aisle with pride

People are waiting for their new Princess
To wed the charming Williams ,the Prince
Offerings through poems,Poets we bless
Those enthralling every eyes around this province

Church bells and horses, Trumpets and verses
Noises of Cheers that uplifts The Britain
An Angel in White dress ,humble through noises
Marking in History, UK's best Royal Procession

This day in April,a special stay in every heart
Making a fairy tale to come alive in real
Sketching and molding of blessings in every arts
Spreading the magic word carefully with seal

Finally the Royal Wedding was over in most happy and royal way. They came in expensive cars to the Church to get married with the blessing of the Lord and the people and then rode on the Royal Chariot as husband and wife ,as the Duke(already) and the Duchess of England way back Home to their Buckingham Place

The Whispering Dewdrops - Veerapandiya Kattabomman (V) NaPoWriMo poetry

Veerapandiya Kattabomman
Veerapandiya Kattabomman was born to Jagaveera Kattabomman and Arumugattammal on January 3, 1760.Kattabomman is the pivot of the emerging feeling of Tamil nationhood who fought for India and was finally executed by hanging him unceremoniously on a Tamarind tree in Kayathar (near Thirunelveli)

Kattabomman is recognized by the government as one of the earliest independence fighters opposing the British and has been hailed as the inspiration behind the first battle of independence of 1857, which the British called the Sepoy Mutiny. His story is celebrated in many legends and epic poetry in Tamil. In honor of his bravery , a Memorial fort was constructed ,postal stamps(1799), few transport buses and a Cultural association were named after him.Even a famous Tamil film portraying the life of Veerapandiya Kattabomman was taken by storm by a great actor of our times Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan.

A folk dance "Devarattam" in Tamil Nadu is persevered by the descendants of Veerapandiya Kattabomman to denote victory in the battle.

Full nameVeemaraja Jagaveera Pandiya Kattabomman

I am now going to use these rhyming ends given by NaPoWriMo's prompt to write a short epic poem about this great warrior-" rage, doom, age, tomb , sighs, breast, thighs, west, mad, blues, plaid, shoes, fail, mail"and write a Bout-rimes MEANING I write  a sort of poetic parlor game ,like  you write a poem using the rhyming end words from another poem. I was hesitating to post my poems for the last few days because of copyright infringement that I faced with a particular site .But if that one stops me from writing and also stopping my growth ,I am losing my precious visitors who come to my blog. There are many poems ,more than 100 for him to chose from ,so I took a brave decision to write again till the end of A to Z challenge and NaPoWriMo.Hope he understands my plight and leave me alone to write freely without problems

That special steady walk he owns in rage
Reddish yellow fire burning even at this age
Furious of being one among the doomed
In defense for his people ,he stood like a tomb
He never let his heart down which made his enemy sigh
Preserving a walk of bravery with his strong thigh
He always has his straight shoulder and upright breast
And eyes boiling in anger seeing the torments of the west
"I'm Veerapandiya Kattabomman", his roar drives one mad
That makes the battle steam up ,a tartan plaid
Even with the tortures he faced,he never fell at their shoes
Finally being executed by hanging made all his followers blue
Tragic ending , yet he was one among the freedom fighters to mail
Spreading the message of bravery for their own rights without fail

The Whispering Dewdrops - Umamaheswari Anandane(U) poetry

The alphabet "U" stands for my name, yes, my Name "Umamaheswari Anandane" for a change .She is ME and I am SHE :)

Critics and Editors
Trying to find out
the brain behind this creation
look for a star ,budding slowly
among the thousands in sky
rifled through the clear night sky
shining brighter and brighter
as the eyes stare for long time
mes-mering them in its light
and mocking the moon beside
telling that there are times in
new moon day,where you disappear
but not for
a star like me
See who we are !
Funny yet true
every man has his day
even stars have its day

Meditating her name making a math matrix
A story of light recollecting few
Moments of silent nature
Away long back ,extinct insects
Hers mind wanders with her
Eyes swirling back memories
Slowly into the past and again to present
Weaving strings between them, eyes opens to see
Amazing flowers in her garden , it's night time with
Raining of fireflies surrounding flowers and shining brighter, a sunshine and a whisper
I am the Light and Life , The Time froze for a moment
She realized the light she needed ...Within

The Whispering Dewdrops - Tamil Language (T) and Shakespearean

NaPoWriMo's  Cento challenge :It is a poetic form made up of lines from poems by other poets.

For the above prompt I am going to choose randomly 7 different sonnets from Shakespeare sonnets and then assemble them into a new sonnet .The beauty of this poem is that this poem will have the real Shakespearean touch to it and will be written by me.

Shakespeare Sonnets Chosen: 15,19,50,60, 65,75,100

Cento of Shakespearean
When I consider every thing that grows
Stirred by a painted beauty to his verse,
That this huge stage presenteth nought but shows
And every fair with his fair doth rehearse,
Plods dully on, to bear that weight in me,
Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore,
His rider lov'd not speed being made from thee.
Each changing place with that which goes before,
So are you to my thoughts as food to life,
Join with the spite of fortune, make me bow,
And for the peace of you I hold such strife
Ah! do not, when my heart hath 'scaped this sorrow,
Give my love fame faster than Time wastes life,
So thou prevent'st his scythe and crooked knife

A to Z Challenge :"T" -TAMIL LANGUAGE

Tamil Language is proud  to be taken place under "Classical Language " known as "Semmozhi".Only 6 languages is classified as Classical Languages in world. ' TAMIL , CHINESE, LATIN, GREEK, HEBREW & SANSKRIT.

Facts of Tamil Language:
  1. One of the most notable literary and ethical treatises in the Indian languages, Thirukkural, is written by Thiruvalluvar. There is a general consensus among the historians and literary authorities that Thirukkural was written around 2000 years ago.
  2. Dr. Albert Schweitzer, Nobel Laureate, notes that, “There hardly exists in the literature of the world a collection of maxims in which we find such lofty wisdom as in Thirukkural”
  3. Dr. G. U. Pope, a Christian Missionary and Translator of Thirukkural in English writes, “The Kural is an integral painting of a civilization which is harmonious in itself and which possesses a clearly recognizable unity."
  4. India’s father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, notes, “I wanted to learn Tamil, only to enable me to study Valluvar’s Thirukkural through his mother tongue itself…. It is a treasure of wisdom…”
Maths andTamil Language
Even the minutest of fractions have a place in ‘Tamil’ language. Some interesting examples include the term immi referred to the fraction of 1/320 x 1/7, one-seventh of this fraction termed as anu, one-eleventh of an anu as mummi and one ninth of amummi as kuNam.

On Why Tamil is a Classical Language:
University of California, Berkeley, holds a ‘Tamil’ Conference annually. Its Chair in Tamil Studies, Prof. George L. Hart, writes, “To qualify as a classical tradition, a language must fit several criteria: it should be ancient, it should be an independent tradition that arose mostly on its own and not as an offshoot of another tradition, and it must have a large and extremely rich body of ancient literature. Unlike the other modern languages of India, Tamil meets each of these requirements. It is extremely old (as old as Latin and older than Arabic); it arose as an entirely independent tradition, with almost no influence from Sanskrit or other languages; and its ancient literature is indescribably vast and rich.”

Tamil Mozhi became SemMozhi
The classical language of the world
With eighteen consonants and twelve vowels
And one character, the aeidham being neutral
She has total alphabets of
Two hundered and fourthy seven
With the combination of uyirmeyyezhuttu
Regared asthe oldest language in India
Dating back to 2000 years ago
with the  greatest saints writing
Thokapiyam  and Thirukkural
The rich ancient literatures
Tamil Mozhi is indeed Semmozhi

Music to my ears
Sounds ancient rich literature

The Whispering Dewdrops - Sound of Music (S) poetry

Ghazals are an ancient Persian poetic form, and they are a good way of trying to let go of prose-like sense when writing poems. This is a prompt given by NaPoWriMo and including the A to Z Challenge of letter "S", I am going to try writing a Ghazal for 'S' - Sound of Music.

Sound of Music is a (1959) is a musical film by Richard Rodgers. The story is about a woman leaves an Austrian convent to become a governess to the children of a Naval officer widower. Many songs from the musical have become standards, including the title song "I have confidence", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" and "Do-Re-Mi".I chose this as my prompt for the above challenges.

How to write a Ghazal :
  1. Ghazals are composed of couplets – about five to fifteen, so they’re short.
  2. The first couplet of a ghazal introduces the theme, which traditionally tends toward longing, erotic or otherwise. Both lines of the first couplet end in the same rhyming word or phrase.
  3. The second line of each succeeding couplet uses that rhyming word or phrase as well.
  4. Traditionally, you’re supposed to include your name, or a veiled reference to it, in the poem.

Lingering soul, I am between the classics
Drowning inside each and every Sound of Music

Raindrops, pitter -pattering its footprints
Clusters of sound creating a "c-h-o-w" Music

Some days these beats of rain control my tears
Soaking in my sorrow in hers, accompanying Music

Showers of drizzles precipitate, on a sunny day
A dancing Rainbow bending colorfully to the Music

Drop by drop as each pebble touches its skin
The waters in pond spread its wings smiling in Music

Thunders and lighting, the big uncle rain coming
Drums beating ' Sky Orchestra', a big festive Music

Every special occasion are marked by this sound
All festivals and celebrations possess their Music

The sounds of Music “Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti To”
Have their presence in every piece of Music

My Baby laughing, surprised hearing different sounds
That intrigues her mind tickling her sense of Music

I sit here on the window sill admiring every of piece sound
Drowning in dancing the rhythm of this unique "Music"

  2. It consists of 4 lines in total
  3. All the four lines consists of 20 to 25 syllables.

A dream
As a particle in eyes
Remains as tear
Wounded desire.

- By Bollimuntha venkata Ramana Rao

A to Z Challenge  of the Alphabet " Q" along with today’s prompt of NaPoWriMo which requires a poem of  erasure or recombination. My mission is to create a poem, either by erasing words from the paragraph, or recombining the words that are already there from a paragraph from Annie Dillard’s book, The Writing Life.

“I pulled down the curtains. When I leaned over the typewriter, sparks burnt round holes in my shirt, and fire singed a sleeve. I dragged the rug away from the sparks. In the kitchen I filled a bucket with water and returned to the erupting typewriter. The typewriter did not seem to be flying apart, only erupting. On my face and hands I felt the heat from the caldera. The yellow fire made a fast, roaring noise. The typewriter itself made rumbling, grinding noise; the table pitched. Nothing seemed to require my bucket of water. The table surface was ruined, of course, but not aflame. After twenty minutes or so, the eruption subsided.”

"NAANI" Poetry

Sparks of fire
Heat on my face and hands
Subsided with water
Twenty minutes after Bathing

Sparks of fire
Erupts emotional strain
Words in heat unattended
When ignored slowly subsided

The above two,I believe, satisfies the NaPoWriMo prompt. Now,for the A to Z Challenge ,

Twosome in Night time
Cool Breeze under Moonlight
Heart speaks more than Mind
Quiet Moments

The Whispering Dewdrops - A Sonnet Love Spasms for NaPoWriMo poetry

NaPoWriMo today’s prompt honors The Sonnet - Shakespeare’s sonnets in particular tend to develop along these lines: a question is posed, discussed, and then answered. It’s an essay in 14 lines.

So am I weak at my knee, to stand I try
My heavy head spinning, collapsing networks
Like football my eyes give and go, balls wry
Blinding my eyesight, with a sighing remark

Within my mind, I memorized things to say
Now I find my mouth gulping for words astray
Iambic heart beats of lup-dup, lup-dup sway
Where no meters of scale measures its way

And butterflies in stomach struggling ways out
By pushing and pulling the tubular parts in tens
For the work of all emotions mix'n matching now
Which alters the tempests to override into one

Oh!Love, Still here, I stand brave before you true
To tell you a three letter word "I Love You"

A to Z Challenge - the letter " O" : Omnipotent,Omnipresent and Omniscient ,Oh the Omnis

Never abolished
Omni potent and present
"Omniscient Love"
